We offer two weekly term time classes:
Thursdays 11am to 1pm
Drawing and painting
Learn how to draw and paint realistic landscapes, animals or people using traditional
techniques with step-by-step support. We have a very high ratio of teacher per learner, so each person is taught individually. We use the traditional methods of copying from masters and photographs as our learning resources. All learners have the freedom to choose the images they'll work from. We will teach a topic while placing focus on different drawing and painting techniques. Amongst others, our topics include: animals, landscapes, portraits, colour theory, line, perspective, layering, contrasts, transparencies, composition and pattern.
Fridays 11am to 1pm.
Life drawing with a life model
Learn to draw realistic figures with a life nude model and step-by-step guidance. Life drawing is great for relaxation, helps to improve focus while learning to draw from observation.
No previous experience needed, all abilities and levels welcome. We provide individual support and free art materials.
Classes held weekly at Hackney City Farm in the Straw Bale Room.
