About
Hackney Fine Arts Community Interest Company in partnership with Hackney City Farm have been awarded a Hackney VCS grant from Hackney Council. We will be delivering 2 weekday, morning, term time Fine Art drawing and painting courses for 39 weeks starting from the first week of September. Please click the orange button to be added to our waiting list. Please note spaces will be allocated in August 2023.
eligibility
Our free adult courses are targeted to learners who are not in employment or education, are retired or are in receipt of benefits and on low incomes. SEND and individuals enduring mental health illnesses welcome. Please ensure to fill in all the fields on the form (link on orange button to the right) to help us on the selection process.
What we'll do

Free of charge courses for local residents: retired or not in employment or education. Voluntary donations welcome but not compulsory.

Learn and develop skills of traditional drawing and painting techniques in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Small classes of up to 10 students.

All materials, tea, coffee and biscuits provided free of charge.

High quality tuition for adults of all ages levels and abilities.

Teaching tailored to each learner's level and individual interest.

Step by step tuition from professional artists who specialise in drawing and painting and are experienced teachers.

We are located at Hackney City Farm. 1a Goldsmith's Row. London E2 8QA.
We have two studios:
Studio 1 Farmyard:
Entrance through Goldsmith's Row, main farm entrance, walk through to the farm's yard where the animal's stables are. The studio is at the back to the right hand side. We have Bicycle racks outside the studio.
Studio 2 Main Building:
We have 2 entrances, You can access through the farm's cafe, the studio is on the left hand side of the Pottery or through Haggerston park. We have bicycle racks on this side.
