What we'll do:

Join our resident tutor and watercolour artist Jess Indigo, he will walk you through the magic of watercolor - teaching you how to master core techniques like wet-on-wet blending and capturing fluid reflection effects. While the class aims for realistic results, the journey involves an exciting exploration of the unpredictable and experimental nature of watercolor.

Following our signature approach of step by step guidance and easy to follow method, this course is suitable for all levels: from beginner to advanced. With an intimate group size of just 10 people so you can all equally receive his attention. Come have fun with this experimental medium and make new friends.

You will learn how to paint a variety of topics: landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, etc. Jess teaches through live demonstrations, so you’ll get a clear roadmap of each stage before putting brush to paper. Please note that for learning purposes, the group will work from the same reference paintings.

•  Composition & Form: How to recognize and simplify complex scenes into basic shapes and strong compositions.

•  Layering & Timing: Mastering the logical order of washes and understanding crucial drying times between layers.

•  Core Techniques: Getting to grips with wet-on-wet blending, dry brush textures, and expressive "calligraphic" brushwork.

What's the difference between the masterclass and the course?

​

• The masterclass is a one day intensive course, you’ll work on one or two pieces.

• The course is weekly and ongoing, you'll be learning different topics and producing more works. 

• Both at aimed at all levels of experience and abilities, including beginners!
