BOTANICAL CYANOTYPE

Kate Goodrich is a multi-disciplinary artist working across abstracted  mixed media paintings and collage. Goodrich uniquely grows the materials for her  practice, which draws from a broad knowledge base of permaculture principles and sustainable methods of growing and preserving plant matter.

She will be leading a Cyanotype printing workshop.  Kids and teens will get a chance to connect with nature and create a cyanotype work in the grounds of Mary’s secret Gardens. They will forage natural materials to use to create unique and beautiful pieces. It’ll be a sensory based, botanical art practice and outdoor activity – come rain or shine. Children will be encouraged to experiment and play. There’ll be no right or wrong with this process.

MINI metal SCULPTURES/FIDGETS

Izzy Lombardo trained as an industrial designer and works around the world at art events and fabrication. She worked as a

Technical tutor at Kingston, is a regular workshop leader for kids and adults as well as manufacturer and arts and events fabrication. She is part of Bristol based collective Women Teaching Fabrication.

Her workshop's vision is to empower to create what participants see in their mind's eye and develop agency to alter their world through play.

Getting kids to use tools to work with metal to create what they imagine. The results are brilliant kinetic and AMSR creations with a steampunk flair.

HAPA ZOME japanese fabric printing

Claudiu  Oprea is a bioartist, permaculture educator, chef and bodyworker who has spent over a decade working across cultures and creative environments. Worked at Glastonbury Festival,  kitchen gardens in the cloud forests of Costa Rica, outdoor edible classrooms in the jungles of Goa, and living ferments prepared for top end French restaurants. He founded The Edible Classroom project in Goa, India, and has since consulted on alternative education and outdoor learning projects across Asia, North America and Europe, Central to his practice is a belief that outdoor learning through connection to other bodies of nature and play can be as much if not more rich than classroom based learning. Foraging, gardening and cooking are inherently sensory and tactile, full of texture, smell, taste and touch. His workshop will involve foraging, natural dye printmaking and learning about plants, food and art.
